Kwon Youngwoo was a Hong Kong Asian Modern & Contemporary artist who was born in 1926. Numerous key galleries and museums such as The Metropolitan Museum of Art have featured Kwon Youngwoo's work in the past.Kwon Youngwoo's work has been offered at auction multiple times, with realized prices ranging from 117 USD to 230,000 USD, depending on the size and medium of the artwork. Since 2014 the record price for this artist at auction is 230,000 USD for Untitled, sold at Korea Premier Auction in 2016. Kwon Youngwoo has been featured in articles for Ocula, Hyperallergic and The Korea Times. The most recent article is “Lineages” at The Met Explores Present-Day Korean Culture by Tapping into the Past written for Observer in November 2023. The artist died in 2013.
